Texas Sues Google Over Use of Facial Images

On Thursday Oct. 20, the Texas attorney general sued Alphabet Inc.’s Google on its biometric data collections of its users’ face and voice features, stating that the company did not seek the users’ full consent.  Meanwhile, Google spokesperson Jose Castaneda argued that Google Photos helps users organize their pictures via a feature that’s easy to turn off, and the same applies to the company’s other services.
